Dear Friends of IPLSF:

We have always said that the city of San Francisco merits a poetry library, a haven where poets, students, educators and the general literary-loving public can find that rare first-edition or upload an archival poetry reading from the 1950s. Now you can help make poetry available to our community and beyond by giving an end-of-the year contribution. IPLSF is a registered 501c3 non-profit, so your gift is tax-deductible.

In 2012 we are gearing up for exciting poetry readings, fundraising events, and new partnerships. And, with your help, we can make these events more profitable for our goal of opening our collection to the public.

In addition to our annual Litcrawl event in October, we are planning both a spring and summer reading, tapping into both local youth and established poets in San Francisco.

IPLSF is also partnering with Elise Baugh and her team at Innovent.tv to help with transmedia production, web design, and fundraising in the coming year. Ms. Baugh also comes with loads of enthusiasm and experience.

Just today students from the architecture and design program at USF presented the first phase of their design of our brick and mortar building in SF. These designs are very inspiring and in order to share them effectively on our website, a few of the designers will continue on as interns of IPLSF in the first half of 2012, perfecting the designs and including video walk-throughs so that the public and funders can experience the poetry library we are envisioning. We are interested in a downtown building for sale or lease, but we need your donations to make it a possibility.
