A Lot Going On
Recent Readings: In the last few months IPLSF has been proud to host readings at Bin 38 in SF’s Marina District, the North Beach Branch Library, and Los Paisanos Taqueria in Oakland. Check out some of the video clips here of poets in range from Marc Pinate and Tianna Cohen-Paul (video link coming soon) to A.D. Winans (video link coming soon) and Sharon Doubiago.
Book Donations: The books are rolling in...with donations from University of Pittsburgh Press, poet and Professor Tia Ballantine, Aracely Gonzalez at Writer’s Corp in SF, Italian poet Roberto Caielli, Beat poet Mel Clay and poet, artist, and publisher Eileen Tabios.
Open Board Meetings: Come learn more about the poetry library by sitting in on a board meeting. There are two upcoming meetings: Cafe La Boheme in SF (Wed. June 2 @ 7pm) 3318 24th St San Francisco, CA 94110 (next to the BART station) And, for those in the south Taqueria La Cabana (Wed. June 9 @ 7pm) 2332 Mission Street Santa Cruz, CA 95060.
Cataloging Party: TBA in July. We have loads of new books that need to be labeled, cataloged, and stored.
