Growing Advisory Board
Dear Friends of the International Poetry Library of San Francisco:
The last month has been an exciting time for IPLSF. We were able to participate in the San Francisco Litquake 2009's Litcrawl event. Check out our YouTube channel with the readings at Café Que Tal. We had a packed house listening to Bruce Smith, Jules Gibbs, Tomas Riley, Leticia Hernandez, Becky Foust, and Karen Carissimo read their poems. Yes, we squeezed 6 poets into 60 minutes-Litcrawl style. Check out all the action on the LitCrawl event page.
This month we have also established an advisory board of poets and supporters to help guide and offer specific feedback on our collection and services. We are excited to welcome our first advisory board members-and the list is growing:
We also want to recognize our recent book and financial donors. Every donation (large or small) makes a difference and brings us closer to creating a definitive collection of international poetry for writers and lovers of poetry in the SF bay area and beyond.
Interested in Volunteering? We have needs in book cataloging, social network updating, and event planning.
In December we'll be sending out a request for books and financial donations (we are tax-exempt!!), along with our 2010 goals.
Also, we are now on Twitter. Come follow us for periodic updates about events, meetings, and cool poetry tidbits!
Thanks so much for all of your support.
Cheers,
Kim
