Year End Review
For The International Poetry of San Francisco, 2009 has been flush with books, donations, and new year wishes. We are still inputting and cataloging box after box, but wanted to update you on our progress. This month we've received approximately 350 poetry books, 75 rare and/or antiques volumes, and 25 writer reference books. In addition we've received rare videos, dvds, and even a few vinyls. We received our first donations of contemporary spoken word cds. Here is a list of the individuals and presses we would like to thank for their donations--from their own volumes, their personal libraries, and their bank accounts.

Last week we met with SF Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi and Ellyn Parker from the SF Office of Economic & Workforce Development about potential locations and collaborations.
February 12-15 I will be at the AWP conference in Chicago if anyone would like to meet or discuss the project, feel free to email me kim.mahler@iplsf.org or call 408.480.1828 to set up a time.
We are seeking more books and potential board members who share our vision of a poetry library in SF and can offer a specific skill, resource, or time commitment to the Board of Directors.
