Big Events Coming Up
It's been a busy new year so far for IPLSF. In addition to many new book donations, we were joined by four new volunteers Larry Kaplun, Colette Hayes, Lesley Stampleman and Vince Polite and a growing advisory board. In a few weeks, you'll see our homepage get a facelift (with additions of our twitter feed, calendar of events, and poetry blog. On January 22nd we held our first advisory board meeting at Hotel Rex in SF. All of the poets, volunteers, and board of directors were able to get to know each other (or catch up), share ideas for fundraising and events, and enjoy some wine and snacks.
Upcoming Readings/Cataloging Gatherings:
Monday, March 15th 7pm at Bin 38 IPLSF Benefit Reading with poets Matthew Zapruder, Marc Pinate, and Camille Dungy. Bin 38 in SF's Marina District is a non-profit friendly wine bar that is offering up its covered patio, staff, and 40% of wine & beer sales to IPLSF. $10 per person or $5 with a book of poetry for the library.
